A native of the Lehigh Valley, he was born & educated in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from Muhlenberg College. Dr Haytmanek received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He interned at Johns Hopkins, serving as a surgical resident, before transitioning into an Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose, and Throat) residency. After completing his Otolaryngology residency, he remained on the faculty at Johns Hopkins for several years prior to returning to the Lehigh Valley in the late 70’s, where he practiced Otolaryngology for many years in Bethlehem.
Several years ago he received further training in Addiction Medicine, his current area of specialization. He currently supervises a methodone maintenance program in Philadelphia, while maintaining an active Addiction Medicine practice in the Lehigh Valley. Dr. Haytmanek also provides services at White Deer Run Rehabilition Center.
